Breakfast at Sweetwater Sea Bed and Breakfast
Breakfast is included with every stay at Sweetwater Sea Bed and Breakfast, a small beachfront inn on Lake Huron located about ten minutes north of Oscoda, Michigan. Each morning meal is prepared in our kitchen and served exclusively for overnight guests. Guests begin the day with a freshly prepared breakfast in the dining room, on the patio, or on the balcony overlooking the water.
Coffee is available in the Great Room beginning at 7:00 AM, and the hot breakfast service begins at 8:30 AM.
A Freshly Prepared Breakfast Each Morning
Breakfast is served buffet style and features a rotating selection of homemade dishes. Each morning includes a hot entrée along with baked items, fruit, and lighter options.
Breakfast always includes:
- A hot, savory main dish
- A baked, sweet dish or pastry
- Fresh fruit and homemade bread
- Our signature yogurt parfait
The hot dish changes daily. Examples include:
- Mediterranean frittata
- Ham-baked eggs with roasted tomatoes
- Stuffed French toast
Baked items may include seasonal recipes such as banana bread with cinnamon streusel, Kentucky butter cake, or other house-made pastries.
This variety allows guests to enjoy a relaxed breakfast before spending the day exploring the Lake Huron shoreline, fishing the Au Sable River, or visiting restaurants and shops in Oscoda.
Dining With a View of Lake Huron
Guests can enjoy breakfast in several areas of the inn:
- The shared dining room table
- The balcony overlooking Lake Huron
- The garden-level walkout patio
Morning light over the lake is part of the experience at Sweetwater Sea, and many guests choose to take their coffee outside while watching the sunrise along Michigan’s Sunrise Coast.
Dietary Needs and Early Departures
Many dietary preferences and restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. Guests with food allergies or specific dietary needs are encouraged to mention them when making a reservation.
For guests planning an early start—such as fishing the Au Sable River, hiking in Huron National Forest, or heading into Oscoda—we can often arrange an early breakfast or a quick takeaway option.
A relaxed Start to the Morning
Breakfast is included for all overnight guests of the B&B. Meals are prepared fresh each morning and served only to registered guests of the inn.
With only four guest rooms, breakfast remains a relaxed and social part of the stay, giving guests time to plan the day, enjoy the lake view, and experience the traditional bed and breakfast atmosphere.
